PRIME is a non-profit organization which serves to provide men and their families with the information they need to make informed decisions about their health, especially in regards to prostate cancer. PRIME seeks to accomplish this mission providing second opinions and additional testing to those diagnosed by prostate cancer. For those interested in diseases of the prostate, we offer valuable literature and video aides. In addition to this, PRIME is actively working to complete a national database of the procedures, providers, and costs associated with prostate care.

PRIME is fortunate to have Jonathan Oppenheimer, M.D., one of the nation’s most highly respected urologic pathologists donate his expertise in reading SECOND OPINIONS. Since, 1995, Dr. Oppenheimer’s sole focus is on diseases of the prostate and he is the Chief Medical Director of OUR LAB, Oppenheimer Urologic Reference Lab, which reads slides from around the world. Those who use our SECOND OPINION service benefit from the peace of mind that comes from knowing an expert has reviewed their case.

Veggies Show Promise As Prostate Cancer Treatment

Good Housekeeping is reporting that men who eat lots of vegetables are more likely to avoid prostate cancer but now researchers say a chemical in broccoli and cauliflower may help treat the disease. The chemical has not been tested on humans yet, and turning it into a usable drug may be years away.
